Richard Majchrzak

As a self-described "army brat", Richard Majchrzak grew up all over the world before his family settled in Virginia. After graduating from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2005 with a degree in commercial photography, Richard moved to New York City to embark on his creative journey. Prior to shooting, he garnered experience working alongside some of the best photographers in the industry. In 2008, Richard stepped behind the camera and began to shoot for publications such as Harper's Bazaar and Marie Claire. He quickly amassed a diverse body of work ranging from complex still-life compositions  to food photography. His editorial clients grew to include ElleEsquireOprah Magazine and Town & Country, to name a few. He has also been commissioned to shoot for high-end fashion designers, such as Alexander Wang, as well as celebrity portraits for the online fashion publication aWANTEDmag. In addition, he offers both his time and talent to charitable organizations, such as the Family Equality Council and the Brooklyn Animal Resource Coalition.

Richard currently lives in Bushwick with his partner Will, and their expanding brood of critters including a dachshund named Obi and their rescue cats Bette and Raoul. In his spare time, he enjoys working on fish tanks, collecting antiques and making people laugh.
